Any Westerner who dares to consider his or her country first over all others has been deemed a dangerous “nationalist” by the Left and hence subject — in an increasing number of countries — to persecution and even prosecution.
This is especially true in Britain, which has slid Leftward in recent years to the point where even criticizing someone who isn’t from that country originally is considered legally actionable.
Enter Tommy Robinson, deemed a “far-Right” political activist by his enemies in the U.K. because he dares to put the interests of his home country above all else.
He’s about to face two years in jail for, according to an English court, ‘encouraging vigilante action’ against followers of Islam “in a sexual exploitation trial,” say “the judges who found him guilty of contempt of court,” The Guardian reported this week.
His crime? Reporting.
Yes, that’s right. Reporting. He allegedly live-streamed “footage of defendants arriving at court” last year, The Guardian reported, in violation of “a reporting restriction” — being banned from doing any live-streaming and ‘reporting.’
“[Robinson] was engaged in the agitation of members of the public in respect of what he presented as a serious threat to society. His words had a clear tendency to encourage unlawful physical or verbal aggression towards identifiable targets,” the paper said. “Harassment of the kind he was describing could not be justified … There was plainly a real risk that the defendants awaiting jury verdicts would see themselves as at risk, feel intimidated, and that this would have a significant adverse impact on their ability to participate in the closing stages of the trial.”
What he was actually doing, however, according to supporters, was committing an act of journalism — covering a sexual grooming gang case at Leeds Crown Court in May 2018.
Robinson has a long history of being targeted in Britain for his political beliefs, ever since he founded the English Defence League, an organization dedicated to promoting the interests of England. (Related: Tommy Robinson gives powerful interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.)
He has been particularly outspoken against what he sees as the “Islamization” of his country — the importation of millions of people from the Middle East who have foreign, contradictory religious and cultural values not just in England but throughout the Christian-themed West.
He has routinely attempted to sound the alarm among fellow citizens, but the Left-leaning English judicial system is stacked against him and anyone else who tries to sound a similar alarm that the British people may be losing their country.
Now, as he faces jail once more, Robinson is appealing to POTUS Donald Trump for asylum.
During an appearance on the Infowars radio program with Alex Jones on Monday, Robinson said, “I beg Donald Trump. I beg the American government to look at my case. I need … I need evacuation from this country because dark forces are at work.”
He noted during the interview he believes that even a short-term prison stay could be a death sentence because British prisons are “controlled by jihadist gangs.”
CBN News noted:
The British government views Lennon as a troublemaker and has been prosecuting and jailing him for years. He’s been unable to work and has had to move his family several times.
“It’s like loving a country that hates you,” Robinson — whose real name is Stephen Lennon — wrote in his 2015 autobiography, “Enemy of the State.”
“That’s how it has felt. I have to look at the state as an enemy of our people,” he added.
In addition to making his appeal on Jones’ show, Robinson is expected to appear this week on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” where he’s expected to repeat his request.
Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars noted:
The United States Refugee Act of 1980, which is consistent with the United Nations’ 1967 Protocol on Refugees, provides for the resettlement of persons subject to persecution in their homelands and includes cases where persons are likely to face persecution for their “political opinion”.
